Given the difficulty of travel during the Covid-19 pandemic, the ASMD Board made the decision to convert the 2021 Directors Forum to a virtual format. The successful virtual Directors Forum was held on February 7-9, 2021 and started with a virtual happy hour aided by special icebreaker kits provided by ASMD President Joe Keiper.
The 2021 ASMD program committee (Vice Presidents Meg Beckel of the Canadian Museum of Nature and William Harris of Space Center Houston) developed an excellent program tailored to the times for ASMD’s first, and hopefully last, virtual Directors Forum. We offer special thanks to ASTC for hosting us on their zoom platform and providing technical assistance for this event. Presentations and discussions featured impacts of Covid-19, strategies for dealing with the impacts, and planning for alternative revenue streams. A copy of the Final Program is available here.

We hope that they provide you with a sense of the energy at our meetings that was also captured in our 2021 virtual event. We have scheduled our 2022 Directors Forum in Seattle during the first week in February, and plan to return to our in-person format (see Updates for Members Section).
